Cyril and Methodius sculpture

The bronze sculpture of Cyril and Methodius was created by the Czech-American Albín Polášek, the author of the sculpture of the pagan god Radegast.

The hollow sculpture, which is 2.60 m high and weighs 800 kg, is cast in bronze and placed on a granite pedestal where the stone cross used to stand. The sculpture is oriented to the east, thus looking towards the statue of Radegast on the opposite elevation and welcoming the arriving pilgrims.
