Village Museum in Hrádek and School of Folk Crafts
A mangle from 1840, wooden washing machine, school supplies, motorcycles, costumes, furniture, musical instruments, tools, toys.
More than 200 various everyday objects in the Village Museum in Hrádek give you a glimpse into the life of the Gorols (inhabitants of the very east of our country) in the last and the century before that. In the school of folk crafts there are craft demonstrations and workshops – pottery making on a potter’s wheel, weaving on a loom, spinning on a spinning wheel, etc. The school of folk crafts is dominated by a tiled oven with a “blacha”, on which traditional potato pancakes are baked.
The reconstruction of the building of the School of Folk Crafts was financed under the project ‘Skoczów-Hrádek. We support each other”, reg. no. CZ.11.2.45/0.0/0.0/16_010/0002007, which is supported by the Micro-project Fund of the Těšín-Silesia-Ślask Cieszyński Euroregion, within the framework of the Interreg V-A 2014-2020 Czech Republic-Poland Operational Programme and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
